- Calling all emerging musicians (22 & under)! Whether you’re stepping on stage for the first time, testing out new songs, or just looking for your people, this is your space. Instruments will be provided and all skill levels are welcome! This event is free and open to the public.

- Monday, September 14, Handwriting the Constitution: Session One
- This is the first of four sessions where you are invited to handwrite the US Constitution. Handwriting the Constitution is a social art project begun in 2017 by artist Morgan O’Hara. It invites people from all walks of life to meet in public spaces to handwrite the US Constitution. This art practice was created so that people will know their rights, deepen their understanding of laws created to protect these rights, and to help resist negative thinking.

- Tuesday, September 15, Bette Sears Bike Lane Appreciation Proclamation
- If you missed the sold-out Women’s History event at FCMoD recently here’s a chance to celebrate one of our earliest local bike advocates, Bette Sears. In 1970, Bette collected more than 1,700 names on a petition to create city-designated bike lanes for safer commuting in Fort Collins. The first lane was painted on Olive Street on September 24th, 1970, laying the groundwork for more than 185 miles of designated bike lanes we enjoy today. We’ll be joining Fort Collins City Council on September 15th as Mayor Emily Frances reads a proclamation declaring September 24th as Bette Sears Bike Lane Appreciation Day and the public is welcome.

- Get ready for some pixelated nostalgia at our first annual Vintage Video Games Day in the Local History Archive at Fort Collins Museum of Discovery! We’ll have multiple stations with games available to play on original consoles spanning from the early 1980s and beyond.
Beyond all the bleeping and button-mashing, you can partake in some video-game-themed crafts, learn about the history of arcades and gaming in FoCo, and enter for a chance to win door prizes. - Event from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

- A live electronic music and visual art series transforming the Digital Dome Theater into an immersive performance space. Each event pairs top Colorado electronic artists and DJs with curated full-dome visuals, creating a one-of-a-kind 360° sensory experience that blurs the line between sound, art, and technology. This event is restricted to those 18 years or older.

- Thursday, September 24, Wheel Story: A Bicycle History Tour
- On September 24th, we’ll be joining Jim Bertolini, the City’s Senior Historic Preservation Planner for Wheel Story: A Tour of Bike History in Fort Collins. This 3.5 mile bike tour through Old Town Fort Collins features local bike history, infrastructure and cycling’s impact on our city’s economic development.
- Meet at the museum at 5:30 PM, depart at 5:40 PM, and tour returns to the museum at 7:00 PM. Lights are recommended and helmets are required.
- Registration is required for this event through the City of Fort Collins. Please note that the museum is not taking ticket reservations for this event.

- Friday, September 25, Dome after Dark: K-pop Dome Hunters feat: K-pop hits – Step inside FCMoD’s OtterBox Digital Dome for an after-hours music experience that surrounds you with the songs you love in booming theatrical surround sound with each song brought to life through abstract imagery, light, and color.

- This month we’re celebrating the 225th birthday of our favorite Fort Collins historical figure: “Auntie” Elizabeth Stone! We’ll have treats, crafts, and more in and around her cabin, the only remaining building from the Fort Collins military post days. Auntie Stone was known for her high energy and love of dancing; celebrate with us by making your very own “Dancy” Stone paper doll!

Our Black-footed Ferret Feedings happen the first and third Saturday of every month starting at 9:30 am. At 10am on the second and fourth Saturday every month you can Meet the Animals in our live animal exhibits. As always, we’ve got Dome Shows six days a week in the Otterbox Digital Dome Theater all month long.
