Explore is the story of humanity’s fascination with the stars — from ancient stargazers and astrologers to the breakthrough discoveries of Nicolaus Copernicus and Johannes Kepler. Today’s explorers depend on Kepler’s genius for their work in space. Enjoy a beautifully visualized trip through the history of astronomy.

Friday Crafternoon

Join us for Crafternoon at the FCMoD Café from 1:30 – 3:30 pm, starting June 2 and continuing every other Friday through the summer!

All crafts are inspired by items from our Archives and Collections, so you’ll learn about local history while making a crafty treasure to take home.

Crafternoon is free and meant for all kids and grown-ups.

Magical Masquerade

Get ready for a night of whimsical fun! The Magical Masquerade is a celebration event for our community’s LGBTQIA+ youth. There will be DJ’s, dancing, face painting, crafts, karaoke, snacks and drinks, and a drag parade! Dress up or dress down but come just as you are! Enjoy kicking off summer and Pride month with fellow LGBTQIA+ youth.

This event is free and for ages 14-19 or grades 8th-12th. Please register to attend below; walk-ins will be welcomed on a limited basis.

This is a safe space for all youth. You are welcomed and invited to be your authentic self. Please remember to respect others and be considerate. If you have any concerns, staff and volunteers will be on site to assist. Earplugs and bracelets for pronouns will be available upon entrance.
