Discovery After Dark: Once Upon a Playground

In conjunction with Once Upon a Playground special traveling exhibition, which offers a visual tribute to the vanishing playgrounds of our past and celebrates their place in American culture and the collective memories of generations, join us for this artist lecture with exhibit photographer Brenda Biondo.

Brenda will discuss how the project came about and how she embarked on a years-long search for classic playgrounds across the country. She’ll also share on the surprising history of playgrounds and how she utilized vintage catalogs and materials to illustrate the evolution of these icons of American childhood. Once Upon a Playground exhibition will also be included in the ticket price.
