SOLD OUT – Winter Break Two-Day Camp: Animal Explorers
Mountain lions, tiger salamanders, and ferrets, oh my! In FCMoD’s first ever two-day long winter break camp, January 3rd & 4th, your little ones can explore how adaptations help animals survive in extreme environments, meet some native Colorado animals up close, and develop an appreciation for the many animals that share our world. It’ll be a roaring good time!
Registration includes a special guided experience in FCMoD’s current special exhibition, The National Geographic Photo Ark.
Winter Break Two-Day Camp takes place from 9:00am to 4:00pm on January 3rd & 4th. Caregivers can drop their students off at the School Group Entrance at FCMoD, located at the south end of the building nearest the parking lot entrance. Students should bring a lunch, 1-2 snacks, and a water bottle.
Dates: January 3rd-4th, 2019
Time: 9am to 4pm both days
Student ages: 6-8 years old
Tuition: $110 per child/$99 with Family membership/$88 with Family Plus membership
Storytime in the Dome: Over in the Ocean
Join us in the OtterBox Digital Dome Theater as we dive deep into the ocean where pufferfish puff, dolphins jump and seahorses flutter!
After seeing the pages turn on the big screen, join us in the Learning Labs for a very special craft!
$5 per child / $4 for members- caregivers are free
Winter Break Animal Extravaganza: W.O.L.F Sanctuary
In celebration of our final weeks of our current traveling exhibit The National Geographic Photo Ark, we are hosting an Animal Extravaganza! Each weekday of winter break, you’ll have the chance to meet different creatures and critters from around the world. Scamper on over and join the fun!
Thursday, 1/3, 11am to 12pm: Say howl-o to a very special guest — a wolf! Join the W.O.L.F. Sanctuary for a meet-and-greet, and learn all about what wolves and wolf dogs need. This program will take place outdoors, so dress for the weather!
All programs are subject to change as required by the animals and their caretakers. All programs are included with regular admission, with the exception of the Denver Zoo visit.
One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure
Join Big Bird, Elmo and their friend, Hu Hu Zhu for a look at the stars. Take an imaginary trip to our Moon, learn how to find the Big Dipper and North Star, and see how we all share the same sky.

Phantom of the Universe
