Losses from High Park Fire continue to grow

Burning since June 9th, the High Park Fire has now consumed  83,205 acres and burned 248 structures. The fire is 45% contained and is being fought by 2,037 personnel. Ground and air support includes 170 engines, 26 water tenders, 9 Type 3 helicopters, 3 Type 2 helicopters, 7 Type 1 helicopters, and 5 heavy air tankers. The cost of the fire is estimated at $29.6 million.
