Endangered Species Day

May 20 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Come discover one of North America’s most endangered mammals, the Black-footed Ferret, at FCMoD’s Endangered Species Day Celebration! Learn why the ferret almost became extinct and how current recovery efforts are bringing this species back from the brink of extinction. Explore the prairie habitat where the BFF and other species live by making your own prairie diorama, BFF masks, and other crafts and activities. In addition, a special guest biologist will give the talk “Wolverines and Weasels” in the Otter Box Digital Dome Theater, followed by a live stream of new BFF kits from the National Black-footed Ferret Conservation Center!
