Challenge Lab: My Heart Will Pump On

How are the pipes in your house similar to the blood vessels in your body? Come find out for yourself! Stretch your STEAM skills and work together to engineer a DIY heart that can pump blood all the way through the body. There’s a job for everyone, so bring the whole family and get ready to say, “Challenge Accepted.”

$5 per family of 6 or fewer people/$4 member family. All ages are welcome, but recommended for ages 7+. Children must be accompanied by at least one adult.

Discovery Lab: Get Down with DNA

Scientists call DNA the building block of life… but what is it, and how does it work? In this lab, your family will have the chance to take on the job of a cell and translate a DNA sequence to make important (slimy!) proteins. Then, you’ll have the chance to extract your very own DNA from your cheek cells. It’ll be D-N-A-mazing!
